Mike Schlosser is an Edmonton-based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His production career started in 2008 with Curtis “Talwst” Santiago’s “Have Mercy Mixtape”. The mixtape was downloaded over 50,000 times and the buzz resulted in nine SXSW showcase invitations for the artist. In 2018, Schlosser’s work on IAMHILL’s “Give It A Rest” album was nominated for a JUNO award for Electronic Album of the Year. His work has also been recognized by the West Coast Music Awards and the Canadian Songwriters Association. He has produced albums from “the Iranian godfather of indie rock” to a Polish pop icon. The Cyzon song, “Shockwaves”, that he co-wrote with her was broadcast live on Polish TV to over two million viewers.
Schlosser has recently produced and co-written songs for a number of artists including Gabriela Bee (the video for their co-write has hit over 3 million views on YouTube), UK-based Chloe Kay (their two co-writes have both received extensive airplay on BBC radio), Wax Records artist earth2zoe, Los Angeles-based Swedish artist MOJO, Danish DJ Vinze, Edmonton rapper Arlo Maverick, Toronto pop singer AARYS, Danish artist Amanda Thomsen as well as tracks for new albums by John Orpheus, Kendal Thompson and Sam Casey. Utilizing a production style that combines his love of different genres, Schlosser is about being authentic and allowing artists to be the best versions of themselves.
