Martha Johnson, the Martha in Martha and the Muffins, has begun recording her first official solo album for an early 2013 release.
She has been collaborating with songwriters Ron Sexsmith, DJ Catalist of Grand Analog, Hill and Will Whitwham of the Wilderness of Manitoba and Lake Forest. She is being assisted by colleague Mark Gane and engineer/percussionist Ray Dillard.
